Education, Values and Learning: Chate School Organises Guidance Session for Students of Classes 7 to 12

PUNE: Students will play a crucial role in shaping the future, particularly in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). An ideal student can contribute to building an ideal society and a progressive nation. Emphasising this vision, Prof. Fulchand Chate, Director of Chate School and Junior College, highlighted the vital role of parents and teachers in shaping students’ character, values and future.

A guidance programme on the theme “Education, Values and Learning” was organised for students of Classes 7 to 12 at Chate School, Satara Road, Pune. Addressing the students during the session, Prof. Chate stressed the importance of education, family values and the influence of teachers in a student’s life.

Prof. Chate said that students should consider their parents and teachers as their role models and draw inspiration from them while shaping their lives. He emphasised that the foundation of education is laid not in school alone, but first at home, where children begin learning essential values, discipline and responsible behaviour.

He also highlighted the responsibility of parents in nurturing good values in their children. According to him, a supportive home environment, combined with meaningful guidance from teachers, plays a significant role in the overall development of students.

Prof. Chate further encouraged students to communicate openly with their parents and teachers and freely share their thoughts, concerns and experiences. Such open communication, he noted, can help students make better decisions and develop confidence as they navigate the challenges of growing up.

Highlighting the importance of education in the age of AI, he underlined the need to prepare students not only with academic knowledge but also with strong values and a responsible outlook towards society.

The programme reinforced the message that education extends beyond textbooks and classrooms. The combined efforts of parents and teachers are essential to nurturing responsible individuals who can contribute to a better society and a progressive nation.

The central message of the session was clear: strong values at home, proper guidance in school and open communication between students, parents and teachers are the foundations of a brighter future.
